**Except for major weather events, Christmas on Walnut Street is a RAIN OR SHINE festival**

The Annual Christmas on Walnut Street Festival is held on the first Saturday of December, this year it is December 6th! Beginning at 10am, there will be many food vendors and craft, cottage, informational, non-profit vendors. The afternoon begins at 3pm with a visit from Santa at his workshop (organized by the GCS Elks Lodge Number 1892) in the Spring Park pool pavilion where he spends a few hours hearing all the kids’ wish lists and is followed by live entertainment! The evening begins with a 1-mile Jingle Bell Fun Run organized by the Florida Striders and a beautiful night Christmas Parade organized by the Green Cove Springs Business League, right down Highway 17! This wonderful event concludes with the City Tree Lighting at 8pm and the Christmas Parade Awards…This city-wide Christmas tradition is something you don’t want to miss!
